The Equestrian Aid Foundation is committed to respecting the privacy of people who visit our website, our donors, and applicants for financial aid except as specifically released through the grant application process. Our privacy policy is published here to build trust in this commitment, and to provide transparency on how we use the information we collect.

This Privacy policy extends to personal information that the Equestrian Aid Foundation collects at events, through promotions, through the mail, on the telephone, and via online interaction. We adhere to best practices outlined in A Donor Bill of Rights that was developed by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, and The Giving Institute. The Donor Bill of Rights sets standards for handling confidential information as provided by law.

The Equestrian Aid Foundation, through its website, donor database, and financial processing system, collects and / or processes personal and anonymous information including but not limited to:

• Personal information (Contact and financial information if a credit card is used)

• IP address (to help administer our services, diagnose problems and track website traffic)

• Comments and suggestions

From time to time, Equestrian Aid Foundation may use this information for specific limited purposes. For example, we may use your personal information to send email alerts, answer requests and provide other personalized services. You may discontinue receiving messages from Equestrian Aid at any time by contacting contact@EquestrianAid.org.

Donors may request to see or modify the information that Equestrian Aid has collected from them at any time by making a request to contact@EquestrianAid.org. Financial information is used to process donations but is not retained.

Equestrian Aid’s use of information obtained from children under the age of 13 complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Equestrian Aid will make reasonable efforts to identify children who may be under the age of 13 and, if so determined, their names, addresses and contact information will not be published without parental consent.

Participation in Equestrian Aid events is considered a blanket release to use photography (still or video) taken at the event.

The Equestrian Aid Foundation does not share, rent or sell personal information to third-party marketers.

The Foundation may also use personal information to create aggregate information or lists shared with other tax exempt organizations, companies providing services for us (e.g., ticket sales, website management, fulfillment, information management, etc.), and as required by law. Those contracted organizations are expected to uphold the same privacy standards as the Equestrian Aid Foundation.

The Equestrian Aid Foundation’s Privacy policy extends only to our services and service providers. Our website may include links to other external websites. These links do not fall under the Equestrian Aid Foundation’s domain, and we are not responsible for the practices or services of external websites.
