EQUESTRIAN AID FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Wellington, FL. April 25, 2016 – Wellington-based Nonprofit Appoints Louise Smith to Help Lead the Organization.

The Equestrian Aid Foundation, a leading nonprofit that assists equestrians coping with catastrophic injury or illness, is proud to announce the appointment of Louise Smith as its new Executive Director. Smith brings extensive management, marketing and development experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors to Equestrian Aid at a time when the foundation is poised for growth. Most recently, she was the Director of Marketing and Membership at the California-based Resource Area for Teaching, working on brand strategy and awareness, program development and member services. Smith began her new role at EAF on March 14, 2016.

“We are thrilled to have Louise join our team as the Equestrian Aid Foundation’s first Executive Director. EAF is working to strengthen its national presence and increase our ability to provide grant-based assistance for rehabilitation and essential expenses to equestrians in need. Louise’s breadth of experience will greatly assist us in this endeavor,” said Stephanie Riggio Bulger, Equestrian Aid Foundation Board President. “As a fellow equestrian, Louise brings a strong dedication to our mission as well as a deep empathy with the challenges that our grant recipients face.”

As Executive Director, Smith will provide leadership in executive planning, capacity building, program development, fundraising, and administration. “I am proud to join this organization and work with our Board of Directors to continue to build and grow EAF,“ says Smith. “It is through their dedication that so many horse people coping with significant health crises have experienced a better quality of life over the past twenty years.”

“Anyone who has ever been involved with horses can relate to Equestrian Aid’s mission,” Smith continues. “Passion for these incredible animals unites the equestrian community to support their own in times of need. We are ready to reach out to horse lovers across the country and, together, assist even more equestrians facing serious health challenges to overcome adversity and get back on their feet.”
